While MDLIVE is not meant to replace your primary care doctor, a virtual visit may sometimes substitute a doctor's office visit. What Conditions Can MDLIVE Doctors Treat? How Does Virtual Visits Work? Before using Virtual Visits, you must register. There's no charge to set up your account. There are three ways to register:

Once your account is active, you can start using Virtual Visits right away. You can:

MDLIVE accepts most major credit and debit cards.
If you have a copay, you will enter your payment information when you schedule your appointment. Your payment information is stored on our secure portal. Your payment is not processed until your visit is completed. Can an MDLIVE Doctor Write Prescriptions? Yes, your prescriptions may be sent to a participating pharmacy of your choice after your visit (when appropriate).
If you have prescription drug coverage through your BCBSTX plan, you may be able to use the same independently contracted pharmacy network.
MDLIVE does not guarantee that prescriptions will be written, and prescriptions are subject to state regulation. MDLIVE doctors are not required to write prescriptions. Will MDLIVE Share Information From My Virtual Visit With My Primary Care Physician (PCP)? Information from your visit is not automatically sent to your PCP. You must opt in to have information sent to your PCP. Is Behavioral Health Counseling Included With Virtual Visits? If your plan benefits include MDLIVE's Behavioral Health Services, you may see a licensed therapist in a HIPAA-compliant visit. MDLIVE's behavioral health therapy sessions are safe, private and confidential. One-time and long-term therapy may be offered.

MDLIVE offers safe, secure and confidential medical advice and care. MDLIVE is compliant with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and will only share details with your chosen doctor and pharmacy.
